What can the stock ECU handle?

Can I use the stock ECu with alot of major upgrades. I will already be tuning it with a Tweecer. Will I also need a chip?

I have a 1995 5.8 with MAF ECU BI00

check out apex motorsports there in SJ by the airport i forget what street its on. they have a dyno and such and some tuners. byron renolds is one name but he tunes for mass air and you would use the chip he makes vs the tweecer.
