My high beam behaves very strangely -- sometimes it simply doesn't come on, other times it just goes dark. The blue indicator on the dashboard stays ON, however. That seem to indicate that the switch in the steering column is probably OK.
Questions: does anyone had a problem like this? And if so, what had to be done to fix it? If no answer for the previous question, how is the hi-beam switched? Is there a relay somewhere, or the high bean is switched from the steeing column?
I'd suggest checking the grounds the first, you might be grounding well enough for low beams, but not transfering enough current for high beams. Other than that, if both sides are doing it, you will need trace the wire back from the headligh socket.
