A 'Newbie' Checking in
I'll make my intro brief - I just stumbled onto your site while looking for Ford Service Manuals and a few other goodies. I'll be starting a frame-up on my '76 F150 Supercab Long Bed (Humphrey) later this year, and will probably need some help locating original parts.
Most of the sheet metal, suspension parts, etc should be no problem. What I'm concerned about is getting original gauges, should any be needed, moulding clips, door panels & parts, brake parts, rear end parts, that sort of thing.
As I get into it, I'll ask for and appreciate any suggestions.
Background:
Humphrey was born in August of '75, and went to live with my then-employer's Dallas, Texas office. When he was 25,003 miles old he was transferred to our Phoenix Branch, where my boss drove him for about 5,000 miles. The truck was given to me to drive as a company truck in the summer of 1976, and, after about 18 months and 30,000 or so more miles, I bought him, and have had him ever since.
With 204,00 miles, 1 engine overhaul & tranny rebuild (at 105,000), 1 interaction with a parked wrecker, one interaction with the back bumper of an Olds 88, and a back-into with a 4 foot diameter palm tree, well, ol' Humphrey doesn't look so good. I'll upload some pics later.
Having decided years ago that I would never part with the truck (my family has been instructed that it would make a great coffin), it has become painfully apparent that the time is nigh for the much-need rebirth.
I picked up a '77 F150 a couple of months ago that I will be driving 'til Humphrey's better (a planned 2 to 3 year part-time project),and as soon as I get it road-worthy (a little bit of body damage to fix) I'll pull the big brother off the road.
That's probably a little more background that I had planned, but........
Next post I'll probably ask for leads on original Ford Manuals and a few other things. I WILL be as active as I can be, and will be glad to pass on whatever I can to help others. Over the years, I've had occasion to fix just about anything on the old boy, so feel free to ask.

Be sure to check out the 1973-1979 F-Series forum for some great info. Also a good spot to post any questions you have.
Enjoy your stay!
