muffler question

so im wondering if just getting rid of the stock muffler and putting a straight pipe in its place would do?

any performance increase?
boost increase?
im sure it would sound good but dose it offer any real benifits?

If you have a turbo that would be ok....... if not get a big truck muffler and increase the size of the exhaust pipe for sure....

You should see a bit of a drop in EGT's it you have a pyro and it may run a bit cooler by the temp gauge also. I did see these results when I did the pipe on my M/H. I never see over 10lbs on the boost mostly 3-5 when cruzin but will climb to 7 on a hill. I just think it counds a LOT cooler

Stock is 2.5" and the downpipe was run over by at least 3 fork trucks before it was install.
The ATS upgrade increases the downpipe to 3" round pipe.
That drops the EGT and lets the turbo spool faster.

Increase every piece of pipe you can with 3" pipe, delete the muffler.

You can also pick up a bit more power by working on the air intake to the air cleaner.

You will notice more than just more noise.
