over drive button not working?

My over drive button is not working on my 2001 f350 psd any else have this problem?

I have the same problem with my 2000 F350 w/ the 7.3 and I cannot figure out the problem causing this not to work.

I recently had the same thing happen. The wires were broke where they come out of the shift lever going to the plug at the steering column. Remove the steering column cover( there are some phillips head screws on the bottom side) and you will be able to see if they are broken. I had to buy a new shift lever to fix mine. It was about $45 at the dealer.
