I took my muffler off and love the sound. I would advise you to get a lenght of pipe (mine is 4") that'll replace your muffler and swap them out to see if you like the sound. Some folks report that while towing, a straight pipe can be a little too much (the droning sound) but I like it! Give it a shot.
do u still have the stock exhust? if so just measure how much u have to cut out on your stock exhust . and use a saw zaw! to cut out muffler and any extra pipe!
The only thing on my exhaust the downpipe comes in at the bottom of the exhaust and the talipipe runs out the top of the muffler. I would have to somehow put and s shape bend in it. Though one around here can bend a 3 1/2" pipe.
Yep, you can rotate the pipe up front by grinding off the alignment dowel or notching the pipe, have a look and you will see. Or you can simply weld in a pipe at an angle like I have seen.
As Green_Dually said, the s-pipe is rotated 180*.... puts the pipe right about inline with the tail pipe, so a straight piece of pipe w/ flared ends slips right in and can be welded up. If you have a welder or clamps and such, you can do it yourself. I didn't back when I wanted it done, so I took mine to a shop for about 25 mins and $60.
