for the 6.0 liter...i just come back from mexcio and meet all these poor soles who had the newer fords and this is one example of one guy who traded in his 97 7.3 that ran perfectly thinking he was doing the right thing..

with tears in his 75 year old eyes he wished outloud to me ...he wished he had his old 7.3

his head gaskets blew before he left..3 weeks in the shop...got to baja..la paz..blew the oil cooler..had to pay out of pocket $3700 AND WAIT 4 WEEKS...then blew the turbo on the way home in ciudad constitution..had to pay again dont know what his bill was..plus $600 tarif for the turbo williams lake ford sent him..
plus another 4 weeks to fix...then the injectors went in arizona...stuck again...his total bill was over $12K by the time he got back..
la paz ford was full of these trucks with all the same problems..

this elderly couple im sure nearly had nervous breakdowns as well and i think its discusting that ford put these people threw hell...ford should have to pay for pain and suffering!

im gonna keep my truck as long as i can...gonna get a wreck and salvage parts of it to keep it going...and ill be able to work on it w/out having to take the cab of the truck off as well!

 

I agree, I'm going to keep mine until the frame rust off of it, and then I'm going to park it in the yard and use it for a flower bed & dog house.

 

Amen brother! I may as well burn the title to mine because it's staying with me.

 

The person i knew with the 6.0 had no problems.

However some of these *****r stories are due to upset workers, and other silly things that they do on the lines.
