Topside Oil Leak
I posted about this perhaps over a year ago.It's a 2005 F250 with only 14000 miles that I use only when i have to pull something heavy.I thought it was an oil filter installation problem.But after a new filter cap and a few changes by myself and the dealer that appears not to be the case.I found a thread on this forum that attributes it to blowby in the intake dripping out where the hose connnects to the intake casting on the front top of the motor.Pardon my poor terminology but the fitting hose connection has oil on the bottom after a heavy pull.Question is,are there newer fittings or a way to seal this.Seems like a poor design if it can't keep blowby in.I just don't want an oily motor.Couple of photos attached .Thanks,Randy Sorry,I can't post attachments for some reason I'm sure makes sense to somebody.

i think i have the same proble?, i thought it was coming from my oil filter cap, but maybe not? all i know is after i wipe it up, and its not much that i have to wipe, but it re appears after about 500 miles or so.... its not enough oil that i have to add any between oil changes but its bad when you have a truck with 20k on the clock and theres oil residue on the top of the motor?
