Y-pipe/crossover pipe replacement question

I would like to replace the crossover pipe on an 88 F-150 as well as an 88 E-150. Bassani lists one for the truck but not the van.

My question:

Would the part for the truck work for the van too?

How could I find out for sure without trying it on? I called them, but they did not have a solid answer.

According to "numberdummy" the part for the van and the part for the truck had 2 different Ford part numbers, so thats a good indicator that they are different and will not interchange.

This leads me to my next question...

What is different about them and could the truck part work for the van?

How could I find this out^^^????

the only way to know for sure is to get 1 and try it
prolly is differant due to where the cross members are
if going with custon pipes behind then it may work
remember the frames are differant from truck to van
van is several inches wider

Get the one for your truck and before you put in on the truck, take it under your van and see if it looks like it will fit and look for differences between the stock one and the new one.
