Electric Fan Conversion

I've got a '91 F-150 with the big 6, and I just wanted to know if it is possible to replace the factory fan and fan clutch with an electric fan? Can you even take the fan and clutch off and it still run correctly?

It worked on my 89. I used a dual 12" fan from flexalite, and a temp sensor that mounted on a hose. It worked quite well.

With running two fans, do you have them both coming on together or are they stagered. I.E. one comes on at 180 degrees and the other at 195.

I used a Flex-A-Lite 2-?-02,05,15 (don't remember but dual fan) on my 82 300-I6 and love it very much. Problem with the install (first time) is the sensor now pushes in the rad. core and if the fan is too high or the coolant level is too low the fan may not kick on or will cycle too much. I had the move the fan to the bottom of the rad. and use an extra seal in the area of the sensor so air was not pulled through that area and kick it off too soon!
