tranny swap?(time)

tranny swap?(time)

i`m going to swap my tranny and transfercase here one of these days. how long should it take? say with just hand tools. and i took a look and it looks like a lot of crossmembers. any other tricks i should look out for? its a auto btw (4.6)

They can be taken out as one unit. It shouldn't be too hard. I think the hardest part would be the belhousing to engine bolts. Especially the top two bolts. I had to remove my intake to get to them. Oh don't forget the torque converter bolts. I say a weekend job. Three days max. Only one main crossmember the other is a guard.

thanks i got a 3 inch body lift so that should give me some more room for the bolts. all the rest is just plug and play? i dont need to reboot the ecu or anything do i?
