General Questions
I have a 1997 Ford F-150, 4.6L, Triton V-8, 124,000. A couple of weeks ago I had a problem with hesitation and check engine light was on. Took it to the garage and had the fuel filter replaced, spark plug replaced (#4 cylinder misfiring-bad plug) and one of the wires were bad. Dorve it from Maryland to New Jersey, no problems. Now driving short distances around town its starting to stumble when you give it just a touch on the gas pedal.I put new plugs and wires on a year ago. Bosch plugs and run of the mill, off the shelf wires from Autozone. The mechanic told me that the wires were not of good quality should be replaced along with the plugs since Bosch are not a good choice for Fords. So if this is the case can someone reccomend a good set of wires and plugs, (MSD, Accel) or does this sound like another type of problem? The check engine has not came back on since I had the work done.
