Door Tag Questions

Hello, I need some help. I have a 1984 F150 2WD. The axle code on the door is K. Can someone help me out and let me know what ratio that is and if it is a L.S. or not. And my spring code is BH. What does this mean.

Thank You

Are you sure that's correct? The axle codes I am finding are two digits, and the spring codes are 4 or 5 digits?

From what I saw, the decoder is not for my year truck. I only saw the newer stuff. I.E. no C-6 option for transmissions.

Here's an old thread where someone listed the codes. The axle still has two digits.

K is the tranny code for a C6 automatic.

Go one position to the left for the axle code.

Howdy all from the Great Republic of Texas!

I have an 84 F150 and am trying to find the rear axle gear ratio. The tag has been removed from the hsg, and the door tag has '16' as the ratio code. In the above chart (last post) I don't see that possibility.

The engine is a 351W with a C6 trans.

I can use all the help I can get.

Thanks,

Axle Code 16 should be a 3.50 ratio

Numbers on the springs are Ford engineering ID numbers, and are only found in a parts catalog.
