Trans Temps

I have a 00 7.3 and have just installed gauges about a week ago. I know what is to hot, but what is normal operating temps. I saw some where that the temps should be between 60 - 80 degrees above ambient temp. I pull an 8000 lbs camper and at 55 degrees outside the trans temp stayed between 140 - 150. But coming to work this morning with 45 degree outside temp the trans barely got above 100. This does not seem normal to me. Is it?

It seems normal to me.

If you drive 2 miles to work, that's a VERY fast warm up for the trans. If you drive 100 miles to work, it isn't getting warm enough.

Sorry. I forgot to mention I have about a 20 min drive to work. Almost all highway. About 60 mph. 105 degrees just seems low after 20 min of 60 mph. I was just wondering if my gauge was right. Thanks for the reply.
