Thank God for dremel tools!
The Ford OEM bolts were junk, had to cut two of them off....
these steps are a great fit, easy install, but as I've read on here before, the directions are poor. If you plan on installing, take your time and do a dry run first. The Nasta steps don't have the middle bracket, but feel very solid without it. And, they use a backing plate versus screwing into the THIN metal under the rocker panel....any questions, let me know.
I can't recall where they got them, but it was my $230 b-day present....
The bars look great. They were my choice also but my wife needed a wider step, so I put on the westin oval bars. They are also a nice bar, but more expensive.
I contacted one vendor regarding the Nasta's because I was looking for something that would extend slightly, even if only 6", towards the bed/back tire....he assured me these would...of course, they don't....and I bought from a different vendor. They are a much cleaner look compared to the OEM.
I looked at the Westin's also, but I was sold on the completely stainless steel setup of these.
I wonder why they rusted like that, Mine look brand new. Must be the NY salt. I noticed a little rust under the door as well.
They look nice on your truck.
