Wouldn't you know it?!

Beautiful day today.. gorgeous weather. A perfect day to be working on Old Horse. Naturally, the 4WD (non-Ford) pitched a fit and had to be repaired, instead.

How often does that sort of derailment happen to the rest of you? I'm starting to think all I have to do is plan to work on the old truck and SOMETHING else is bound to break.

That is a bummer, Karen. Best laid plans.....,etc. Murphy rides again. It is especially a drag since the weather up there has been so awful all winter.

Hang in there. It happens to all of us.

Look at it this way: leaving it in the garage probably let the weather stay nice.

my other stuff gallery is all i can say. That, and the plow truck has a broken axle, the tbird's engine is blown, the yard is still too wet to move anything, the pocketbook is empty due to buying all new for the new house, etc... Some day, the 48 will get started.

Replace the back porch, replace the gutters that the ice ripped down, replace a front fender on Darlenes car, get a new lawn tractor. Thats the list before the fun stuff and it's still too darn cold and wet to do any of it.

Oh, sorry 'bout your bad day Karen.

Karen, I did not have other vehicle problem but I had restaurant problems instead. Nothing serious, but left me with only an hour to work today on my truck. Truck day is Wednesday, but not this Wednesday. I feel your pain. I hope Saturday is nice so I can finish my inside and carpet it.

similar but not so serious probs, wanted to tool around town in BUTCH but he had other ideas, turns out the radiator is set too far from the fan and needs to be yanked and re-set, we were all ready to go and show him to the hot rod parts guy at the place where we get much of our stuff, who had never seen him, and to the guy who sold him to me for chump change. Alas, he naps in the shop of the "mad scientist" not a lotta fun for me.

Karen,

It would appear that the warming of the weather has awakened that scoundrel Murphy. Since the little devil appears to be plaguing your efforts give a hand at trying to snare the rascal. Heck, I'd bet you could tie him to a tree and charge us all admission to take turns putting a boot to his rear ( I do a have a score to settle with him myself)

I drove my ol' multi-make morphodite to work today and cruised a bit at lunchtime. The weather was gorgeous and my afternoon was spent in pleasant daydreams of what I was going to try and get done after work. Well, sure enough, right before quitting time my other old nemesis reared its ugly head, yup, the wind came screaming and and ruined all my plans....ugh.

Try and not get too frustrated, you're in the same boat as the rest of us (not that that helps any....lol)
Good luck
Bobby

With two trucks, 2 cars, and 2 motorcycles, plus the "normal" household stuff, it's a miracle if I don't have something more urgent than my '52 to take my free time... par for the course, I guess!

At least it's clearly Spring, makes everything seem like less work!

Not too much warming of the weather here on the coast of Maine. We just expereinced a bit of wind and rain. Something called a "noreaster". The 22 trees that dropped on my 1 acre missed all of my cars and boats! Still trying to final finish my radiator shroud. A little chainsaw time first. We were on a portable generator without power, phone and internet access for 4 days.

And I thought I was the only one........ This past weekend I was trying to get my homework and hands on training for my RV class finished(semester is almost over, 1 more class to go), writing reports and getting them ready to send to my instructor, didn't leave any time for the truck. Yard work, honey do's, and life have seemed to take every other free moment I have found lately. But at least I did get my spool of easy grind mig wire this week, maybe I can get back to my firewall "someday".
