making the switch

hey guys, it's been a while since i've posted. I built a mild prerunner out of my ranger. Well, I sold my old 4x4 ranger, and want to build the prerunner into a trail rig.
What kind of pricing am I going to be looking at for a 4x4 ranger trans/xfer case combo? This is for a 99 ranger. All I want is a manual trans with a BW1354. Thanks.

Used or new? Around here, roughly $400 to $1500 depending on whether the parts are new or used, and if they are used, how used they are.

Used. I have NO problem rebuilding. After owning a Jeep for so many years, I'm used to having to rebuild (hehehe).

Shop around some boneyards and you could find them very cheap. Are you wanting the stock Mazda trans or something stronger?

At this point, I'm thinking just a stock trans. I don't think strength will be a huge issue. I'm running a fairly stock 4cyl with a CAI and tuner, and just a cat back exhaust.
I'm just going to run Dana 44s with a custom 4-link in the front. Nothing bigger than 33s, and I'm a very smooth driver.
