removing trim - moulding

I want the clean look for my 2000 f250. How do you remove the door trim and get the stisky tape off without hurting the paint.

Thank you

I've heard that WD-40 can be used to remove the sticky stuff and won't harm the paint. I've tried it myself and it does seem to work. Not too sure about the trim itself other than carefully getting a grip and then slowly pulling it off. It won't be too easy though. That double sided tape is pretty strong stuff. Maybe someone else here might have a better approach.

Avon has some stuff called "SKIN SO SOFT", I use it all the time to get the goo off.
Heat the trim up first to help remove it.

I've always used fishing line,to cut through the tape ,hold the line between your fingers pulling towards the back of the molding moving back and forth like your sawing through it , it works great , as said above W-40 and a hair dryer or heat gun(if used carefully) using your fingers only , (any type of scraper will probably end up in disaster) will help get the tape off , Craig.

as said before, use WD40 works like a charm

All these are good suggestions. I had a limited excursion with the lower body cladding and I ended up taking it off to get that "clean look". All kinds of tape behind those panels.

I found that heat helps more than anything else, goo gone helps too. I also found the best removal technique was to sort of "roll" the tape goo off with my thumb while wearing gloves; much better than picking at it.
