What am I telling them wrong??
I've got the wrong "left side" brake cable from both Discount Autoparts & Autozone. I am looking for the drivers side rear emergency brake cable. Unfortunately I don't have the old cable to just bring in. I guess the previous owner did the quick fix of just cutting the cable @ the drum. So I only have the small sprung section that fits inside the drum.
Somehow the cable they are pulling up under my vehicle has the sprung section about 2-3 inchs to long. It ends up looking like one of those spring worms in a bean can, when I stuff it in there..
My problem is they aren't able to pull any other cable. Isn't the "left" considered the driver side? The only option they are able to pull up is Ambulance package or no Ambulance. I'm pretty damn sure there aren't any lights or sirens on my truck, should I try with? Anyone have a part# they can try & cross reference.
BTW it is one of my pet peeves, If I find the solution I will guarantee to post it. Over half of the troubles posted on the net never show any resolution.
if it is too much at least get the part number.
also say drivers side, sometimes left and right confuses the parts person.
part # for rh f-2a635-24b $14.95
lh f-2a635-24a $14.50
from national parts depot catalog
