I totally agree but I'm wondering about how they actually hook up and the effect of the light they produce. It's great if they look cool, but if they make a spec of light ahead of my truck when I'm driving, I'll pass.
I'm trying to find out if there's any fancy wiring involved. I'm an average electricain at best.
I wouldn't touch them, unless you want to have quality issues with leaks, finish, deterioration etc. These aftermarket light assemblies being sold on eBay are made in China junk! I realize that probably half our trucks are put together with parts made in China, but these light assemblies on eBay are very cheaply made.
You can't beat OEM products when it comes to theses types of parts.

i must agree....they look nice but they most likley are a peice of crap...
I'm familiar with these....
The LEDs and Halos are a "closed-box" item.
Meaning that if one or all of the Halos or LEDs burn out you'll either have to live with it or cobble a replacement Halo or LED...
Radio Shack... Digi-key and other vendors seem to have things that resemble what comes in these units... but its not worth all the trouble IMO.
I would definitely pass. The quality level on these aftermarket headlights are horrible!!! If you want a different look, why not try painting the the headlights? Look over on f 150online forum and there is a huge thread under appreance where people are painting their headlight cases. I am thinking about colormatching it to my truck...if not, I might black it out. Worse comes to worse, OEM headlights are on ebay for around $40 a piece. Stick with OEMs when it comes to headlights and taillights.
