I had a local place change the oil in january and I forgot to follow up on them. I usually do my own but it way too cold and we had just bought the expie so I wanted it done ASAP. Anyways, the guy bent the heck out of the airbox clamp so it won;t close. I found it the other day when I was refilling the washer fluid.
No one in town had a replacement and the junkyards would only sell me a complete air box.
So I went aftermarket. I bought a JLT intake kit..and it came UPS and arrived a day early. I'll try and get it installed toady.
Got the intake installed and I like the throttle response. The darn thing barely fits in there.
The only issue is they forgot one short rubber tube to go from the IAT to the intake. I went to ACE and got a chunk of hose..the wrong size but the closest they had. I'll have to go to a bigger hardware store to get a better fit then I can get the cover back on.
When everything is cleaned back up I'll get some pics and post them.
