orifice/check valve
what is the orifice/check valve on the top of the fuel filter housing supposed to do.
I saw a post on here that said it should be removed and all the line to it plugged per some IH service bulletin.
i'm trying to troubleshot a very nasty surging / rough idle that only happens to the engine when cold or after sitting for a bit. other wise runs great warmed up.
think it may be this or return line leaks in the "very old" and dry rotted return system. dang everything is falling apart.
just replaced most of the fuel system under the truck, including tanks since it leaked like a sieve. problem was before that work though. was hoping fixing those leaks would of fixed this...
