Exclamation Thumping Vibration

I have a 99 f-150 4x4 off-road with 202k miles on it. 3,000 on a new long block. I have a hard vibration when starting and turning. I have changed the transmission fluid and added the friction modifier that was recommended when draining and changing on a 4r70w tranny. I found the rear u-joint was bad and changed that yesterday. I already know that I have a bad dpme module that causes my vibrations between 40 and 50 mph. I have gone through all of the troubleshooting on that including removing the intake and cleaning it. I am out of work and going to school fulltime so I need help that won't cost me a fortune. I'm waiting to get my tax return before I change the dpme. I have added one bottle of the friction modifier to the rear end and when I did that I noticed that the magnet had what appeared to be grease all over it. Shouldn't be any grease in there that I know of. I do have the limited slip with 3.73 gears. Any wany to eliminate things without costing money???? I also greased the slip yoke when I changed the u-joint. Thanks very much for any help!!!

QUOTE[the friction modifier that was recommended when draining and changing on a 4r70w tranny.]

The friction modifier goes in the rearend when you change the fluid, not the tranny!!!
You need to change the fluid in the rearend, not just add the friction modifier.

The reason I put some of the friction modifier in the transmission also was following the advice of a ford mechanic because I have a 4r70w transmission that was having torque converter shudder. That is resolved now and just have the issue in the rear end now.
