oil leak
The second time in two months. I climb under the truck to find oil on the back of the motor. First time the stealership siad it was the o ring on a high preasure line on the back of the motor. The second time they tell me its the rear valley oil plug. Are these normal oil leaks is there any preventive maintence that could have been performed to prevent this, or just bad luck. Mike Thank God I bought the extended warrenty.

What year is your truck in 01 they started using an updated oil galley plug that had the sealing o-ring deeper in the hole. you can identify it by a groove cut in the face of the plug. The orings Ford_dad mentioned on the pedestal are another common spot
