or there way of saying thanks for not believing everything you read from shop mechanics cousins roommate who heard from the snap on sales guy
Boy that's the truth... It's really amazing to see all the people come out of the woodwork to bash an American made product. I'm convinced that "The Others" have a negative internet marketing team exploiting all possible problems and their primary job is to post, post, post negative things about this truck. Not saying that there's never any issues.. but come on jeezz. More people have asked me "Hey have you burned your house down yet?","Good luck with your 6.uh oh version 2 truck" It really just floors me.
Great product. Awesome Truck! GLAD I made the switch!
Had mine in today for the ECU reflash and my salesman told me about the "rebate" check I should be receiving soon. Nice surprise!! I must admit all my cars are foreign, but this truck seems to be screwed together pretty damned well, and I'm sure mine was one of the early ones... can't wait for my first towing opportunity coming up soon at the first race of the season!!
It appears that there is a little confusion here. The "2008MY Super Duty Owner Appreciation Program" is completely separate from the "Owner Loyalty Program" . The "Owner Loyalty Program" gives you $1000 to put toward the purchase of a '08 SD, this is done at the time of purchase and no check comes in the mail. For those that took delivery during the right time period, you could have taken advantage of both programs (if you qualified) and received a total of $2000 in discounts. The "2008MY Super Duty Owner Appreciation Program" is for people who fit the following criteria.
2008MY Super Duty Owner Appreciation Program
Overview:
In conjunction with the recently announced Super Duty Owner Loyalty Program (Prg #32262) Ford Division is pleased to announce a $1,000 Super Duty Owner Appreciation Program to recognize and reward all eligible customers that purchased or leased the 2008MY Super Duty between January 3, 2007 and March 22, 2007.
This appreciation program is a way to thank those customers for their business on behalf of Ford Motor Company and our Dealers. Every retail customer that purchased or leased a 2008MY Super Duty (F-250 through F-550) will be eligible for payment.
Payment Process:
Ford Motor Company will send the $1,000 check (via 1st class mail) directly to the eligible customer at the address reported in CONCEPS at the time of sale. Customer checks should start to arrive during the week of April 17, 2007.
Note: Fleet customers are not eligible for this program.
Does anyone know if this applies in Canada also? I took delivery February 8, 2007 and nothing yet...
I checked with my Ford dealership in Surrey BC today. They checked with Ford of Canada about the Super Duty Owner Appreciation Program. The program is only for US Super Duty owners. This program is not planned for Canadian Super Duty owners at the present moment.
Sorry for the bad news but it effects me also. I guess we are not appreciated as much in the great white north.
Ya Strut, go for the combo washer & dryer. put one in last year. Can not do too much at a time but works pretty good. 30'th Aniv. was April 2nd. Got my truck and got the automatic for my wife. Pretty good deal. also got the loyalty rebate and 300 small business with mine.
Just got my check in the mail today. My dealer didn't mention anything about this to me so it was a real nice surprise when I checked the mail today. I get so much junk mail I almost trashed it. I'm real happy I actually opened it up.
Question - the dealer special-ordered my F-350 in early February but it didn't ship until 4/5 and I didn't pick it up until last week (4/11). Are they going by order date or by the date the paperwork was signed? I have a feeling that the only trucks that were delivered prior to 3/22 were F-250's.
Can you guys post when you picked the truck up, and what model it was for clarification?
