egr problems
my cheak engine light keeps coming on ive checked the codes and it said the egr code so i replaced it (after market) and the silenoid. now the light comes on faster so i reset the computer (un hooking batt.) 6 cyl. 300 i need some input for my next move its really annoying

Your differential pressure return sensor, take the hose off the top of the EGR, see if its got suction, if its doesn't, then you have to replace it, it looks like a little round cyclinder,with a electrical plug in on top, and two little hose connections on the bottom of it, on a 5.0 its located by the fuel rail on the driverside beside the rear of the Intake Manifold. Also very possible you egr tube is clogged, run some carb. cleaner down it, this helps, believe me I changed everything on my truck, and after all that, I have a mechanical problem. Ther may be a problem in the smog relays. There is a relay that is vacuum controlled..I am foggy on this, but I believe mine was the " EVR" it controls the bypass valve on the smog pump inlet. The solenoid gets corroded and stops working. Check it out..it may cause a 332 or 328 code... I could double check my notes but no time.
The system is engine-vacuum dependent, make sure the vacuum reservoir isn't rusted and leaking,,it looks like a coffe can..check all vacuum lines too.
