I have a 2007 F350 CC with the manual sliding rear window. I have noticed whenever I go over speed bumps, or uneven roads, or anything like that, the rear window squeaks near the slider. Anybody had this problem before? If so, how do you fix it? Thanks!
I understand a new truck shouldn't make annoying noises, but would you really expect a dealership to replace the window because it squeaks?
True. I am sure they would probably just give it a shot of luber too. My truck developed a kind of squeaking from what sounds like the weatherstripping around the doors. I am going to try and pull back the carpeting when the weather gets nice and maybe try torquing down the cab bolts. Pretty annoying the squeaking. And the lube hasn't helped.
Well, Energy Suspension makes a silicone assembly lube that is as thick as bearing grease and not quite as messy. You may try to find a couple ounces of that.
Thanks, I'll look for that and give it a try. I went out this afternoon and adjusted the door a little and the squeaking is way down. I think the door was too tight against the weatherstripping and everytime the cab flexed it caused the rubbing.
