07 ranger

This question refers to the front inner fenders on a 2wd. The inners seem to be made up of the main inner peice than a small peice added just over the springs. All these trucks on the local lot seem to be missing that small piece on the drivers side. Should this be right? If so, why?

All of them are like that. The drivers side for some reason has a different design and doesnt cover as much. Thats just the way they were shipped from Ford.

Many of the newer trucks have the drivers side inner 'flap' missing. This was done to help cooling in desert testing from what i hear. They are only $20 a piece from the dealer if you do want them

My 03 doesn't have that shield on the drivers side either. I recommend buying one or make on out of a scrap piece of rubber. Here in the rust belt that salt spray splashes up on the brake lines and entire side of engine block.
