Anyone seen a remote locking tailgate?
Seems odd, with it so easy to steal a tailgate, that it doesn't lock/unlock with the doors...Is there maybe an aftermarket dealio I can add?

Yes, produced by pace edwards. Pop-n-lock also make some, but they are manual.

seems like you could just install a $10 door lock actuator yourself if that kit is too pricey.

The bed/tailgate should be the same, the techs at Pace edwards are good, so give them a call to confirm.

The Pace Edwards instructions are for Ford Super Duty - 1999 to 2005.

guys. all it is as just a door lock actuator and some wiring. you could build your own "kit" for under $10 and it would fit ANY vehicle.

Don't 99'-07' SDs use the same tailgate? I think so, I don't see why a 99'-05' kit would not fit a 2007. The SD's went through a mild redesign for the 05' model year but the tailgates should be the same as the 99'04'.
