does this sound right
today i went to the quarry to get a load of stone for my grandpa and when i dorve onto the scale it said the truck was 5120 lbs. with me in it. it is a 89 f250hd 4wd 351 c6, 8 ft bed, regular cab, does not have duel tanks just one. i weight 170 and it had a full tank of gas. does that sound correct?
also when i left it said my weight was 9040 lbs. which means i had 3900 lbs in it. drove fine and the gvwr is 8600 so i really didn't overload it to bad. it was squatting pretty good but not bottomed out.
if it wasn't for killing the gas mileage i would leave it loaded down cause it runs like a new truck loaded.
