Add or replace fuel tank
I am planning a long trip into Baja this summer in my 1989 F-150 shortbed 4x4. The fuel tank is miserably small and wanted to ask for suggestions to solve this hassle. Searching the forum i see many users have auxiliary or tool box type tanks. This wont really work for me as with a shortbed my space is needed for camping gear/ toys, etc. There does not seem to be much room down where the stock tank is at the moment. Searching OEM websites for replacement tanks it seems like the biggest they sell is a 22 gallon tank for a 1989. That is not a big gain from stock for $600 bucks! I would like to get up to 30 gallons if possible.
On the forum i see many users have dual tanks. Does anyone know if I can add an extra tank on this rig?
Thanks again!

The other option would be to buy/build and offroad trailer to carry extra gear/fuel. http://www.tentrax.com/OffRoadAT_Trailer.html
