Help! Rusted out muffler.
I've got a 91 Bronco with the 302 and the muffler is rusting out. Christmas has really drained the pocket and I cant afford an entire exhaust system. Can anyone tell me the size and brand of muffler I need. Im looking for a better sound also.

It is not expensive to get a muffler put on. Don't try to save a few bucks by putting it on yourself with clamps. You won't save much at all and you will have exhaust leaks, and the clamps will loosen up. I paid 75 bucks to have a new Dynomax muffler put on including a new chrome tip. The muffler alone installed was 59 dollars. They weld them so they don't loosen or leak. A Dynomax muffler will give you a slightly deeper sound than stock, not too loud but a little more sound. There are other mufflers that are louder if that is what you are after. The Dynonmax is a good middle ground between stock and too loud.
