Can any provide pictures of where the fuel prusure regulater is and tell me if i have to have a tool to realse it becouse it says i have to in the manual but i dont have the tool but i need to get my upper intake off and get it cleaned cus im having idleing trouble
Thanks for any help
What year, motor size etc. Most pressure regulators will be on the fuel rail nearest the fire wall. There should be a fitting on the fuel rail similar to a tire valve. Screw your fuel pressure gauge to it and relieve pressure. But before you go tearing things apart take the time to be sure everything is in order and pull codes to give you some direction.

You don't need a tool(except maybe a small spade screwdriver) to release the fuel pressure. There's a valve on the drivers side fuel rail(V8s) near the front like a tire valve. Take the cap off and relieve any pressure with a screwdriver by pressing the pintle.

Cleaning the upper intake won't help with idling trouble. If you discover you have a gasket leak or broken vacuum line from this exercise then it may not be a complete waste of time. There's also no need to touch the fuel system to remove the upper intake either.
If you need the star (torx ) driver to get intake off go to hardware and get a cheap set of tork drivers for a cordless drill/ screw gun you can get then for $12.00 or less and will have all odd bit you will need . I just tape (its a T40 torx) bit into the 1/4 in socket extension and ratchet.(It shouldn't be that tight. )to loosen remove middle bolt. The sets of torx with square for the ratchet/extension built in won't fit between intake groove. Good luck
