Question 1997 Ford Speakers

Does Anyone Have Any Idea How Hard It Is To Change The 6x8 Speakers In The Front And Back(single Cab) And If I Can Use A Different Size Speaker, Or Should I Stay With The 6x8. I Have Never Tried To Do This But I Can't Imagine It Is Real Hard Any Help Would Be Greatly Appreciated.

I would stay with 6x8 because they are a direct fit. The factory speakers are held in by 4 screws and 1 wiring connector. Just remember when you are taking the door panels off, don't pull out- LIFT UP!

I agree with that. I tried to install 6X9's in mine and it quickly became apparent that A LOT of work was going to be needed to make it go. Some have done it but once you start popping panels and see it for yourself, you will lean towards staying with the stock size.

Not impossible just doggone difficult to use a different size.
