Has anyone ever used polyurathane body mounts? I am considering using them and would like to know if anyone has used them and had a bad experience. I am not looking to use them for a body lift, just to replace the compressed ones that are in there.
I put them on my '85. I thought that they may have made the truck ride harder, or have made it more prone to interior vibrations, but I honestly cannot see where they've done either. I've been running them for a little over a year, now, with no complaints. (Mine are stock replacements, also..... no lift).
You haven't heard them squeaking or anything? I heard from one person that they sqeak alot. Although I don't know how they can squeak if they're installed with the washers.
Not at all...... as a matter of fact, everything else on the truck has been changed out with polyurethane. Most of the front-end pieces came with a silicone-type grease. The body mount kit did not. Just the bushings, themselves, and the hardware. (I used the factory-type steel cups / sleeves). No problems or adverse effects at all.

Congratulations on scoring the FTE Ride of the Week. Nice photos, by the way, and from them I can now see why your body mounts are compressed !
