I want to put the 2007 Grille on my 1999 Super Duty. I found this one on Ebay has anyone purchased a grille from these guys? If so, what was the fit and quality? I tried there website but did not go anywhere.
Check out their ad on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Chrom...06315866QQrdZ1
That's just a factory take-off that has been trimmed to fit a 99-04. It will attach up top like your does but the bottom will have to be zip-tied.
IMO, do the grill and bumper, I think the grill looks funny just cut to fit.
But for all practical matters, what you're looking at on eBay, will work.
That grille is 300$ plus shipping for them to cut it for you. I went and got a 05 grille from the dealership for 200$ and im going to cut it myself. Ill post how i did it as soon as i do. All that is left for me to do all of this is the bulbs which i still have not made up my mind yet on what i want for bulbs.
Does anyone put together a package with the bumper, grille and lights to fit out truck
Powerstrokeshop.com is where I got everything to do mine...
Bumper and mounts, grill, one-piece Harley's, header panel.
I already had an upgraded harness for the headlights.
Solid Ground, i want to do the front end upgrade as well, can you send a pic? I am torn between chrome bumper wtih color matched trim top, harley headlights (charcoal gray truck) and chrome stock-style with billet inserts. The other option is color matched bumper and trim, color matched stock style grille with billet inserts, and harley headlights. Seen it in a magazine and looked killer.
There is a company on Ebay that sells a "direct fit" 05-07 style grille for like $299. Or at least there was a few months ago. I went all out and swapped everything, but unless you luck out and blast Bambi and get insurance to cover the majority of it, you're looking at around $2000 if you're able to find some parts on ebay. But it sho do look sweet!!

Kris, I don't have any pics on this thing.
You could hit up Layson, he's got several pictures and his truck is tight.
I've wanted to do the upgrade also, but I have chrome strips around my wheel wells, and they have worn on the paint some , so I don't want to take them off. Not sure if the chrome strips would flow well into the 05+ painted bumper. Anybody seen an 05+ with chrome wheel well strips?
I did the '05 grille upgrade on mine, and kept the stock bumper. Personally, I like the look of the newer grille with our bumper, but everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I also did the '05 headlight upgrade, added fog lights, and put chrome tow hooks in to replace my stock black ones.
I've gotten a lot of compliments on the new look. Click on the "My Pictures" link in my sig to see some photos of the new look...there's also one in that gallery of how it looked before and the difference is amazing.
I got mine off ebay from MKM Customs. It uses the stock mounting screws on the top, and they have some fabricated brackets and tabs fastened to the bottom that allow it to snap into your stock header panel. The brackets are necessary because when you cut the bottom off the newer grille, the mounting tabs are cut off with it.
How does the replacement grill fasten? Someone here said wire ties? Where did you get your grill?
D.
The grille fastens at the top with the stock screws.... plus they added some supports for the bottom brackets. For 300 bucks and 30 shipping just go buy a dremel tool and do it yourself. The bottom supports are just to get the bottom fo the grill in the right position...it doesn't really support anything. I have heard of alot of guys just zip tying the bottom of the grille on....and that should work just fine. The XLT grille is like 170 and the chrome package is like 190 and the harley is a little over 200.... alot cheaper than 330!
I went ahead and did the full swap from www.powerstrokeshop.com for around 1500 bucks. I think it is well worth it. You can do it cheaper and leave out the header panel and just get the lights grille and bumper? But also you can email the powerstroke guys and change out the grille to a harley or chrome package style or change out the headlights to the harley style.... It is cheaper to do this in the long run. I ended up changing my XLT grille out for the chrome package grille so I could mount four lights behind it.
