Diesel 1 or diesel 2

I've never heard of supreme, either.
There is no point running D1 in the summer months as the price for D1 is usually $.50 more a gallon and your mpg's will not be as good as D2.
Most fuel stations have a winter type blend. A 50/50 mix of D1 and D2 is fairly common in the northern states. However, most people make their own blend as a 50/50 may be "overdone."
A lot of guys use an additive such as diesel kleen or howe's to reduce the possibility of their fuel gelling. These additives seem to work very well for most of us.

Sorry to bring this back up, but the diesel supreme that I listed earlier is supposed to burn hotter, it was not diesel 1 as i had first thought. They claim to have 50 count ( i lll try it ) in cetones...The highest allowed in production??? Is it worth the extra .06 per gallon if this is indeed the case?

As far as the additives go, he is right about not needing any if the fuel is anything like (or is) the Amoco/BP Premier Diesel.
