Installed Gauges Today

Howdy guys, I installed my new a pillar gauges today and had alot of fun and is not the easiest thing to do. I installed a trans temp, exhaust temp and boost gauge. I got the gauges taken care of, but just curious on how to shime the FPR thanks

There are some instructions for the fpr shim and other cheap mods on there. Its a little more than halfway down.

Hey Red,

As I understand the function of the 10k mod, you might not need to do it. You have "Superchip" listed in your signature. The chip should do what the 10k mod would do.

Hopefully, you'll hear from the more experienced and knowledgeable folks on here.

yeah i think that all the 10k mod does is trick the engine into thinking it needs more fuel to the injectors

ok so I dont need a 10 k mod with superchip. even with superchip truck dosent have alot of power. do you thing I can get another chip to work with the superchip or remove chip and get a dp tuner? thanks for help guys I'am learing alot at this site!!!!!!!!! 97redpsd

I'm not running a chip but, from what I gathered by others here, if you have a chip and the truck isn't running right, stacking another chip on won't solve anything.

You might try removing the Superchip and run the truck with the stock settings. If your truck runs better without the Superchip, it's probably a bad chip. If that's the case, it's time to contact the chip seller and see what your options are. If they aren't willing to replace it, you might take your business elsewhere.

It run right but just want more power. so I can pull my travel trailer better.

Clean the fpr screen too while your in there. If you haven't already. If it's dirty enough you'll probably like what happens. Instructions for that are on the same page that ForemanES gave you.

I did that sunday also did fpr mod. the screen has never ben clean before . I did't know it was there. I leaned about it here. thank to guys here at F.T.E .!!!!!
