another 335 set up fer me
ordinary day until I saw a guy who new a guy who heard about a '78-79 bronco for sale for 350.00. I got the number and called- was very rushed- it's a mess with a '86 top crammed on it but i drove it briefly and it ran like a scaulded cat...the guy said it was a 351m....ain't no 351m. so I'm thinking it's a 400 in decent shape but didn't even have the time to look at it...so of course i bought it. I mean there is a little sheet metal left on it in places. Oh yea, 4 speed.

may eh? doubt i can get her up for that by then but a road trip to my alma would be fun...now oct when i could throw in some bird hunting and I'm pumped!
The bronco is pretty amazing on the road. Drives real nice and has decent power up through 4500+ (85-90mph...not sure of rpm). It leaks some oil and not sure how long the clutch is going to last as well as tranny- hard to shift into 2nd unless gears are matched fairly close. has a/c and better trim so...
Could be a candidate for a new body, zf tranny etc. another project i have no time for.

sorry...2,3rd. i guess i really don't think of second as second....
and to think i almost went a whole day w/o sounding like an a$$.....
3rd will lock out at times and i have to get back into 2nd and get the gears lined up again. synchro is going or something...don't know a lot about them so I'll rebuild one here someday to figure it out.

yeah i hear ya 3 on the floor with a creeper 1st gear is pointless for regular driving
i would say it's a synchro shouldnt be too hard if it's a t-18 since you can get to the gears from the op of the trans and redo everything
