wiper motor remove

buddy has a 89 ranger, how to remove wiper motor?

On my '94 there is an access panel (actually three) on the firewall, held in by four bolts. It's quite obvious, a black plastic panel on a blue firewall. Mine has one on both sides and one in the middle.

Thanks for the reply. another site said to remove center panel to get to linkage, just wondered if there was a quicker way to go about this, took end plate of motor off and insides are kinda stuck to everywhere, think we need a replacement. Thanks

Eesh that's no good. Sorry I can't be of more help, I've never had to dig one out of a '89.

Thanks RangerPilot, gonna give up tonight and see what tomorrow brings, looks like more snow and a chance of rain, tough to see with no wipers. May require a bigger persuader. What airplane in your avatar, cessna cardinal or 206? picture is hard to distiquise, 3 blade prop makes me think 206.

It's actually one of the newer Skylanes. 3-blade is standard now. They redid the Image Gallery on their website, so the picture I have is gone now. I just cropped out a portion of a much larger picture and then minimized it to 55x55 to meet FTE regs for an avatar.

Gotta get my but in gear, been around around airplanes most my life, had a ride in a B25, harvard, PBY, ( grandfather flew one in the war), laoded water and chemical into TBM avenger for forest fire, and loaded many ag trucks, pawnee, and camels for spray ops. Got 4 hours flight time in 172, just got to commit myself and get my license. It isn't cheap, like it was 20 years ago when I should have done it.

oh the 89 ranger there is a plate in the cdnter that will unhook your linkage then there is 3 bolts right at the fire wall very hard to get to now these are usally rusted round ( god I love it)after you pull the 3 bolts it (SHOULD) just pull out far enough for you unbolt the linkage at the motor I had my dash out when I did mine so as soon as I was everything was rusted out I drilled em out from the inside lol
