I replaced the somg pump on my 1990 ford f-150 4.9 engine so I disconneted neg .battery cable what I was wondering how long will it take computer to reset it self any information would be greatly appreciated

If you had the cable off for more than 30 minutes it's reset for sure. I think 5-10 minutes is plenty, You should be good to go.
