I am having a terrible time understanding this term "Offset". I am told my 04 F250 has a stock rim of +25 offset and the -32 offset wheel I like is not going to work.
What is the rim width and offset of the stock ford rim on an 04? and what offset does it have?
I am looking at a 2.5" leveling kit with BFG A/T 315/75/16 and I like the -32 offset rim, will this work?
Offset is the distance from the centerline of the wheel to its mounting surface. A lower offset (ET) number means the wheel will be positioned farther away from the vehicle as opposed to closer in with a higher offset number.
The stock width is 7 inches. The offset you state is way off. It is more like +8. I just baught a set of 18x8 for my 03 and the offset is +6. With a huge negative off set, the wheels will stick out way past the fenders. If you really wanted too, you could run those tires on the stock rims. Many guys have done it. While it is not recommended, it can be done.
