When the 1980 F Series and Bronco was introduced, there was no blue oval emblem on the grille. The blue oval emblem was first offered in 1983, and when that grille came out, Ford obsoleted the previous grilles (1980-82) and replaced them with the 83 type. So if your 1980-82 Bronco or F Series truck has the blue oval, the grille was replaced.

in short, no, unless you swap out the whole front end, the grill will not fit correctly... the core supports aren't the same, the fenders and hood are different, and the grille is as well. you may be able to cut and massage the grille into kind-of sorta working, but it will look all wrong. you'd be best off to just get the correct grille. whether or not you get the blue oval or not is a personal choice depending on styling issues and whether or not its a "restoration" or a mod.
