hard starting????

hard starting????
my wife went to start the ex this morning and all the lights came on, but no start, she said it didnt even make a noise. she turned the ignition off and then back on and nothing, she went back in the house to get phone, came back out, turned the key again and let the glow plugs work and then it fired up. it had sat for over a day, but i would imagine that wouldnt have anything to do with anything would it? where should i start? glow plugs or gpr? thanks for any help

i thought it might have been batteries too, she said that all the lights came on. if it was the battery, it would have at least tried to turn over wouldnt it? we have a tv in the truck, im wondering if the kids forgot to turn it off last time. if it were the batteries, they would get their juice back going up the highway right?
