I have a friend who is offering up his old superchip programmer REAL cheap, i know most of FTEs are partial to jodys tunes. My question is does anyone have experience with superchips and or their programmers for some FTE input. He said it will also read codes and debug, which is probably worth that feature alone for what he wants for it. Thx
I went with a pradator at first, as I was unsure about a flip chip. Now with 16 tunes, I will be switching to DP as a "atta boy" to myself for making it through my junior year at college! The predator does scan codes like the superchips, but autoenginuity does A LOT more, plus it will scan my Mom's new mini! Don't know how much AE is, but it can scan a lot of stuff, well worth it, and will be my next buy after my DP!
I have had the Superchips 1705 for several years now. Got it before I come here. I makes a huge differance over stock and does read the codes. I mostly run in the 90hp tow perf mode due to constanly towing my boat. When I pull my camper, I drop back to the 60hp tow safe mode. Since I haven't had any other brand of chip, I am ok with what I got. I do plan on getting a DP-Tuners chip as soon as I find a little extra money. I will still keep the 1705 just for the codes, or at least until I can afford a AE package. If you are unsure, see if your friend will let you install a program for a couple of days and see how you like it.

Go ahead and buy it. There isn't anything wrong with the tunes, I think you'll like it. I've been running one for about a year. I bought it (used, cheap, off of Ebay) for the code reading and really like the tunes. The shift to OD/TC lock at the same time is annoying, but other than that I like it.
