Cool!

Hope everyone at the Smokin event has a blast, and congrats on the new BTS trans, Kris.

Hope you guys take plenty of pics/vid of the dyno action this weekend, and numbers.

Well, I just got back. Today was a far better day than yesterday as we got there a little late.

Several quick comments, then off to bed.

Jody and Dianne: Very nice people, AWESOME product. = Crappy fuel economy on way home.

Met Dennis from ITP, Dock Boy, (his truck was not there, getting new engine), Met Rampage and Ernesteugene along with, crap, I forgot, another TN supporter, forgive me, I'm getting old too.

The Duramaxes were very fast at the strip, along with the Cummins as well as posting big #s on the dyno. 6.0s didn't show me much compared to those. Kris ran a few times down the strip, I will let him post on that.

I got on the dyno and had a best of 311hp and 640tq.

This is the first time I've gotten my cell internet to work for days, so here's a report from Smokin. I got to meet some of the guys, Strokin (and father), Tenn, Rampage, and some others ?, but Sun AM as I'm typing this my poor old brain is still suffering mightily from (for me) an abnormally high intake of liquid refreshments at the big bond fire last night. On Sat there were some problems with the dyno and in trying to accommodate everyone they ran until it was too dark to see the black smoke, and then the party began.

Both Kris and Mike got new DP tunes and had a big shoot out on the dyno, but I don't want to steal their thunder by giving the results. I got some pics of Kris at the drags and I think he might post one of those. I also got pics of a neat mod that Rampage has with a scoop on the drivers side front fender for providing ram air to his air filter, and I might try to do that myself.

I got Kris to make up a vented oil filler cap with a fitting hooked to a hose and a gauge (-4" to +30" H2O) to bring with him to Smokin, and we got some CC pressure measurements during his dyno runs. He also took measurements on his truck during his trip to Smokin. Before I installed it on my truck, we made some quick measurements on Tenn and Rampage. I'm going to measure my OEM set up when I tow to Asheville to get my special DP tunes for turning my auto into more of a manual, and then experiment with various CCV mods and see if I can find one with low enough CC pressures to work for me when towing.

I just saw that Tenn got home ok as I was waiting for my slow cell connection to come back on again!

Man o man am i jealous. And to think Two days ago I was in Denver, 2/3 the way there. I am going to start making time to show up to some of these events. Would be kind of cool to be the first WVO powered truck in the 12's and just to meet some people. Most my customers are great people, but not typically Super duty freaks, lol.

Deffinately let us know how that turns out. I am thinking about doing something similar. Maybe trying to treat the TC as an extra gear as well, just need to figure out the best place to add the lockup. As it is under heavy throttle the TC locks up when it shifts to second and bogs the motor. Not sure what you had planned, but I also thinking about seeing if it is possible to have two contura switches hooked up. One that switches from Auto to Manual mode, then a double Momentary that allows you to shift up or down by pushing "Up" or "Down"

DP 120 Race.

I give most of the credit to the Sink strainer fuel sump mod though.

Well that has to be worth at least an HP or 2

So are you confirming that the DP "smaks the panties off of the TS"

I am currently running DP tunes is what I'm saying. I know why launching in 4wd at the strip is necessary now too if that tells you anything. Much stronger running truck, even in 80 econ.

What Jody can do is just remarkable. Not only the best power, but the best Driveability too.

Jody and I cannot express enough how much we appreciate those that made it to Smokin. For those that could make it, there will definately be another Smokin.

Thanks to everyone who came from FTE. It was great to finally meet y'all.
