i think if you hit 220 then you may have problems if it stays at that for a little while....like osteodoc08 says....140 to 150 i think is the norm here...
Also, now that it has been in the upper 80's and lower 90's here in FL, my tranny gauge has gone up a little, but hasn't past 170 yet. On the highway this morning it didn't pass 155 and I have an hour long commute. It usually settles in around 150 with cruise on at 75mph.
Other things I look at on a regular basis
Voltage: 14.1-14.3 when cruising
Coolant temp: 192-196 when fully warmed up
Tranny temp: 145-170
Fuel pressure: 39-41psi
IMPG: depends on position of the skinny pedal
