I own a 76 Chevy 3/4 ton pick up that my granddad bought brand new. I grew up riding around with him in that truck. It is sad shape right now, lots-o chevy rust. I am going to pull the body off the frame and rebuild it from the ground up. For sentimental reasons that truck has a home from now on, regardless of how many ford are in the yard with it.

Redo it so good that Granddad would be proud. Go for it! Should be plenty of parts for that year..

Thats my plans. I am going to make some upgrades though. I plan to upgrade the tranny form a 350 turbo to a 4L60 for a little better fuel milage and put in a good rv/towing cam. It still has the original, virgin, 300 hp 350 in it with the good heads and should be a 4 bolt main motor. I have had several people want the engine out of it. I will also go with a Edelbrock Performer intake and carb. The old Q-jet has about had it. I want to replace the AC and get it back working, everything is still there it just needs replacing. I just got in a new LMC catalog for that year model so I have a parts source.
