'99 4X4 super cab leaf springs into a 96 2wd

i've got a 96 supercab 2wd and both rear leaf springs are fubar. both of them have broken the middle leaf. my buddy has a 99 ranger 4x4. he is lifting his truck so i was wondering if i use his springs will there will be any problems going from a 2wd to a 4x4 leaf spring. how hard is it to change leafs out on the ranger?

Changing out leaf spring isn't too bad. Involves using a big hammer and large jack to get thing lined up. Not sure about the years but you can measure the holes to see if they will match. At worst the 4x4 springs will give you a raised rear and a stiffer ride depending on what your 4x2 was rated for.
