Told my father n law Id try and get an answer for him even if he does drive a Chevy. Wondering if anyone has the miracle cure for fading plastic. He has a Chevy Avalanche and you know how much plastic is on one of those. It looks like crap the plastic turns white. Im sure you all know what I am talking about. He has used Maguires Back to Black and similar products nothing seems to last very long. Any suggestions for a superior product that would work. Thanks for the help (P.S. I already told him to get a F250 PSD like mine and that would work, but to no avail..yet)
My brother has worked at a Chevy dealership for many years. He gave us some stuff that GM came out with that was specifically made for the Avalanche plasic. The only place you can get it is at a GM dealer. There are a couple different products GM has for the Avalanche plastics. I used the one that has the cleaner, polish and I think a sealer. Also, the cleaner is the best thing I've found to get love bugs off.
Our 1992 F250 gets washed once a year whether it needs it or not so the last time I washed it, I used this GM stuff on the black trim going down the sides and the black decorative pieces on the aluminum running boards. That was over 4 months ago and the black trim pieces still look pretty good.
